Ingredients

1/2 cup Chunky or Smooth Peanut Butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup butter or Margarine

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup all purpose flour

3/4 cup quick -cooking oatmeal

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Cream peanut butter and butter in a large bowl. Gradually beat in brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Combine flour, oats, baking soda and chocolate chips. Stir into creamed mixture. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased or sprayed cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 -15 minutes, until golden brown. Cool slightly on cookie sheet and transfer to baking rack.
