Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 1/4 cups rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Possible variations: add 1 cup rice krispies, use 1/4 cup less oats, crunchy v. creamy peanut butter
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add peanut butter, water, vanilla and cinnamon. Combine flour and baking soda in a separate bowl and add to the creamed mixture. Finally, add oats and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Be careful of spacing; these cookies expand to a nice size.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are slightly browned. Remove to cool on wire racks or on wax paper.
