Ingredients

8 ripe peaches

12 Tbs butter

1.5 C sugar

1 Cup plus 2 Tbs self rising flour.

1/2 Cup milk

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. Peel, pit and slice the peaches. Melt 4 Tbs of butter in a medium saucepan. Add the peaches and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in 2 Tbs of flour and simmer for 10-15 minutes until soft and syrupy. In a medium bowl combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup flour. Stir in the milk.

Melt 8 Tbs butter in a 9x13 pan. Pour in batter, reserving about 1/3 cup. Pour in peach mixture over the batter,drizzle the reserved batter over the peaches and spread evenly to cover.

Bake for ~ 1 hour or until top is golden brown. Serve warm Serve with ice cream
