Ingredients

3/4 cup butter

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups sugar

1 pkg. (8 oz) chopped dates

2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 cup chopped nuts

1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

3 cups sweetened, flaked coconut

Preparation

In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the eggs, sugar and dates. Bring to a boil, and reduce the heat to low. Stir continuously for 10 minutes at low, and remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla, nuts and cereal. Cool the entire mixture, in fridge for 2 hours. Shape into balls, and roll into the coconut.
