Ingredients

5-6 cups torn bread pieces

(tear bread into small chunks and spread on a cookie sheet or two to dry for a couple of days before preparing) Adjust depending on size of turkey or chicken.

1 Medium onion, chopped fairly small

1-2 Tablespoons Sage

(I use my nose to tell me that the sage is enough when it is all mixed together)

1 Tsp. Seasoning Salt

3/4 Tsp. Pepper

1 Tsp. Garlic Powder

1 Tsp. Onion Powder

2 Eggs

1 Tablespoon Chicken Boullion

or 1/4 Cup Chicken Broth to moisten.

Preparation

Mix bread chunks with onions, all spices, eggs. Add sage to get a full bodied aroma of “sage” in your nose. When it really smells like it has lots of sage it is ready to put into the bird. Use the chicken boullion powder with a little water to moisten, but I like chicken broth myself. Dressing should be damp, not dripping with moisture. Do not pack tight into bird and NEVER stuff until ready for the oven.
