Ingredients

2 1/2 cups AP Flour

4 tsp sugar

1/4 tsp salt

7 Tbsp cold Butter, diced

7 Tbsp cold Lard, diced

1 Large Egg

2 Tbsp cold water

Preparation

  1. whisk flour, sugar & salt (pref. 2 or 3 times)

  2. work butter into dry ingredients until its like yellow corn meal with pea-size bits of butter

  3. beat egg & water and stir into dry ingred. with fork

  4. if dough is dry, add 1 Tbsp water

  5. refrigerate dough for 2 hrs

  6. Add fruit filling

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins
