Ingredients

4-5 strips bacon or pancetta

l large shallot

1/2 C. fresh peas

1 1/4 C heavy whipping crem

fres thyme

parmesan cheese

pasta such as farfalle

Preparation

  1. Fry bacon in large pan. Remove all but 1 T. bacon grease.

  2. Add shallot and cook for about 1 minute.

  3. Add the cream, thyme and fresh peas and simmer until the sauce is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

  4. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Meanwhile, cook the pasta until al dente, drain and toss it with the sauce.

  6. Top with parmesan cheese.

Serve immediately.
