Ingredients

1 lb. penne ziti

1/4 lb. canadian bacon, julienned

1 lb. fresh asparagus, tips only

1/2 lb. smoked mozzarella, grated into strips

1 16 oz. can College Inn Chicken Broth

1 shallot, minced

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablsp. olive oil

Preparation

In steamer pan, steam fresh asparagus tips till fork tender. Set aside. In large dutch oven, lightly brown shallots in 2 tablsp. of olive oil. Add julienned canadian bacon, and cook 2 minutes under med. flame. Add asparagus tips, chicken broth and stir to meld flavors. Once pasta is cooked to your liking, pour sauce over pasta and put grated mozzarella over top and serve. Bon Appetit!!
