Ingredients
1 pound of raw, peeled, deveined shrimp (preferably large)
2 cups of broccoli crowns, separated
5 large cloves of garlic, crushed
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tbl fresh, minced parsley
2 tbl fresh, minced basil
1 pound of angel hair pasta
freshly grated romano cheese
1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
Preparation
While pasta is cooking: In a large sautee pan, combine olive oil, garlic, basil, parsley and broccoli. Cook for 1 minute. Add shrimp and cook until shrimp is done, stirring frequently. (Add crushed red pepper, if desired) Drain pasta, leaving about 1/4 cup of water at bottom of pot. Stir in shrimp mixture and serve immediately. Sprinkle with freshly grated romano cheese.
