1 lb. frozen green beans
1/3 cup water
3 T basil pesto
2 t grated imported parmesan cheese
1/2 t dried lemon peel
1 t minced garlic
2 T extra-virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
Cook the green beans in the water, either in a saucepan or at full power in a microwave until heated through, about 4 minutes.
Combine the pesto, cheese, lemon peel, garlic and olive oil in a serving bowl.
Drain the beans, toss them with the sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
