Ingredients

Cake:

1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened

1/2 c. sugar

1/4 c. brown sugar

1 egg, beaten

1 c. all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 c. buttermilk

Topping:

1/4 c. packed brown sugar

1/4 c. chopped pecans

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Crem butter and sugars. add eggs. Mix. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Beat well. Spread into a greased 8 inch square pan. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
