Ingredients
3 T ketchup
2 T vinegar
1 T lemon juice
2 T Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup water
1 tsp paprika
3 T dark brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 T butter, melted
1 tsp dry mustard
2-1/2 to 3 pounds of chicken pieces, rinsed and patted dry.
Preparation
Preheat oven to 500F. Combine ketchup and next 11 ingredients in a medium bowl. Dip the chicken pieces in the sauce. Arrange in one layer in a large baking dish and pour remaining sauce over the chicken. Bake, covered with aluminum foil, for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temp to 350F and bake 1 hour. Then remove foil and bake, uncovered, another 15 minutes.
