Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup neutral oil

Zest of one large orange

1 teaspoon vanilla

5 cups rolled oats

1 cup slivered almonds

1 cup flax seeds

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 300°

  2. In a pot combine salt, cinnamon, brown sugar, water, oil, orange zest, and vanilla. Heat until well blended.

  3. Pour over oats, flaxseed and nuts in large mixing bowl, stirring to combine.

  4. Spread on large greased cookie sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes. Cool.
