Ingredients
DOUGH
1 pkg yeast
1 1/4 c warm water
1/4 c NFD milk powder
1/4 c shortening
1/3 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
3.5-4 c flour
FILLING
1 c sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
2 Tb grated orange peel
GLAZE
Use your favorite for rolls
Preparation
In bowl, combine warm water and yeast, let stand, then add other ingredients and knead with mixer or by hand as usual for bread. Let rise until almost double about an hour. Roll into rectangle and spread with filling. Roll up jelly-roll style and cut into 12-16 rolls. Place in greased roasting pan with only 2" sides. Or put into a 9x13 pan and a 9" cake pan. Cover and rise until double about 45 min. Bake 375 for 20-25 min or until lightly browned. Glaze if desired.
