cups uncooked instant rice

cups water

2/3

cup orange juice

tablespoons soy sauce

teaspoons cornstarch

teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

tablespoon oil

lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips

large garlic clove, minced

1

green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

1

yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

1/3

cup sliced green onions

1

orange, peeled, halved and sliced

Preparation

Cook rice in water as directed on package.

Meanwhile, in small cup, combine orange juice, soy sauce, cornstarch and red pepper flakes; blend well. Set aside.

Heat oil in large skillet or wok over high heat until hot. Add beef and garlic; cook and stir until beef is browned. Add bell peppers; cook and stir until crisp-tender.

Stir orange juice mixture into beef mixture. Bring to a boil. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Stir in onions and orange; cook until thoroughly heated. Serve over rice.
