Ingredients

½ c butter, softened

1 c sugar

2 eggs

1 T grated orange rind

½ c freshly squeezed orange juice

2 ½ c flour

1 ½ t baking powder

½ t salt

Glaze:

1 pd powdered sugar

1 T softened butter

1 T orange rind

orange juice

Preparation

Wisk together flour, baking powder and salt.

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Blend in orange juice and rind, alternating with the dry ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes. Cool slightly, then drizzle on glaze.

To make the glaze, mix together the powdered sugar, butter and orange rind. Add orange juice until the mixture becomes the desired consistency.
