Ingredients

1 medium onion, sliced into rings

1 cup flour

1 cup vegan breadcrumbs or corn meal

1/3 apple juice or water

2 TBS white wine vinegar

Black Pepper

Enough oil to deep fry with.

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in saucepan. You can also use a deep fryer if you have one.
  2. Mix flour, juice, and vinegar. Add enough water till you get a sticky, gooey batter. Add as much pepper as you desire.
  3. Coat rings, and throw into oil. Fry until golden brown.
  4. With slotted spoon, remove from oil onto papertowel covered plate.
