Ingredients
Red onions 5
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Honey 2 tbsp
Balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp
Star anise 2
Preparation
Finely chop the red onions. Sautée in the oil until soft and caramelised.
Melt the honey (a few seconds in the microwave) and mix with the balsamic vinegar. Add the star anise and leave to sit while the onions cook.
Mix the honey mixture into the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
When cooled sufficiently remove the star anise and serve/store.
