Ingredients
10 cups 2% Milk,
1 teaspoon Salt,
3-5 cups Rice,
1/2 -1 cup Raisins,
5 lg Eggs,
1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon,
6 teaspoon Vanilla extract,
1 1/2 cup white Sugar.
Preparation
- Bring 9 cups milk, 1 teaspoon salt, to simmer in large pot. ETA 10 min
- Reduce heat to low.
- Add rice, raisins, cover an gently simmer until rice is tender and liquid starts to thicken. ETA 20 min
- Whisk 1 cup milk, 5 eggs, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 6 teaspoon vanilla, 1 1/2 sugar, in medium bowl.
- Gradually stir in egg mixture into rice mixture on stove. Stir over low heat until mixture is thickens some more. ETA 5 min
- Transfer to setting pan or bowl and cool 2-3 hours. Depends on thickness of bowl.
