Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar or Splenda/sugar blen
1 cup dark brown sugar or Splenda/sugar blend
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons ice water
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter and sugars until pale and fluffy. Beat together eggs, water and vanilla and add to butter/sugar mixture. Cream 2 minutes until well blended. Combine dry ingredients well and add gradually to wet ingredients. Do not overmix. Stir in dried fruit and nuts. Drop by well rounded teaspoon fulls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes, or until golden. Let cool on rack.
