Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
3-1/2 cups light brown sugar
1-1/2 cups butter (3 sticks)
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups quick oats
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup walnuts
2 cups raisins
Preparation
Beat sugars and butter till creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix oats. Stir in dry ingredients, nuts and raisins.
Divide batter equally between two loaf pans lined with waxed paper.
Refrigerate till cold, at least a few hours and up to one week. Dough may also be frozen at this point.
Slice 1/4" thick.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes on an un greased or parchment-lined cookie sheet.
