Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup of Cocoa
2 Teaspoons of Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Cup of Butter
1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Granulated White Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
2 Eggs
12 oz. of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Cups of Dry Oatmeal
1 Cup of Chopped Walnuts (optional)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, combine:
- 1 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup of Cocoa
- 2 Teaspoons of Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
In a large bowl, combine and beat until creamy:
- 1 Cup of Butter
- 1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup of Granulated White Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
In the large bowl, add eggs on at a time, beating well after each.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Stir in:
- 12 oz. of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 2 Cups of Dry Oatmeal
- 1 Cup of Chopped Walnuts (optional)
Drop by slightly rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes for chewy cookies, 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
Let stand for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
