Ingredients
3/4 c. Crisco Shortning
1/2 c. white sugar
1c. brown sugar firmly packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. water
1c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
3c. Old fashion oatmeal
6 oz. nestles semi sweet chocolate chips
1c. chopped walnuts (opt.)
Preparation
Creme sugars and shortning until fluffy add egg vanilla and water Shift dry ingredients and add to creme mixture add oatmeal choclate chips and nuts if desired Drop by tsp. onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 14 min cool slightly on cookie sheet before transfering to cooling rack freezes well
