Ingredients

1 stick softened butter

1/2 C firmly packed brown sugar

1/4 C granulated sugar

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/2 C all purpose flour

1/4 C whole wheat flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 C uncooked oats (quick or old-fashioned)

1/2 C chocolate chips

Preparation

Heat oven to 350*F. Beat together the sugars and butter until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mixing well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then move to wire rack.
