Ingredients

1 ½ Cups boiling water 1 ½ cups flour

1 cup quick cooking oatmeal 1 tsp. baking soda

1 cup sugar ½ tsp salt

1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon

½ cup margarine 1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

Preparation

Pour water over oatmeal; cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream together sugar, margarine and eggs. Add cooled oatmeal and Dry ingredients. Turn into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan and Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Top with Oatmeal Cake Topping While still warm. Place under the broiler until brown and bubbly. Watch closely so doesn’t burn.
