Ingredients

4oz Butter

4oz Sugar

8oz Oats

1 Egg

1tsp Baking Powder

pinch of salt

drop Vanilla Essence

Preparation

Pre heat the oven at 170°C

  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Add egg, baking powder, salt, vanilla essence and mix, then add the oats to form a dough.
  3. Wrap in clingfilm and place in fridge for 5mins
  4. Pat into rounds on baking parchment and bake for 15mins

N.B. The flatter the rounds the crispier the biscuits, and the fatter they are the chewier they are… Personally I prefer the chewier ones, but with the way they are you can easily chop them up even if you just laid out the dough.
