Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup butter softened

2 egg whites

1 2/3 cup mashed ripe bananas (about three medium)

1/4 cup skim milk

1/4 cup lite sour cream (better brands have no gum thickeners)

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350` Cream butter and sugar together then egg whites. Mix in mashed bananas, milk, sour cream, and vanilla. Stir in flour, soda, and salt until well blended. Pour into greased 5"x 9" loaf pan. Sprinkle nutmeg evenly over the top of the batter, followed by a thin layer of sugar. Bake 60-70 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
