Ingredients
2 c. flour
2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. pecans (or any nuts)
1-1/2 c. berries (fresh OR frozen blueberries, raspberries, blackberries- most any berry works well)
Preparation
Either in a large bowl, working with your fingers- OR in the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, mix together flour, butter, sugar, egg and nuts until crumbly like pie crust dough.
Press ¾ of this flour mixture into a buttered jelly-roll pan (cookie sheet or half-sheet pan). Scatter the berries across the top of this. Then crumble/sprinkle the remaining flour mixture atop the berries as a crumb/streusel-topping.
Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until slightly golden. Cool at least 15 minutes, cut into bars and enjoy!
