Ingredients
2 quarts half-and-half cream
1/2 pint heavy cream
1 1/2 cups white sugar
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Preparation
Combine half-and-half, sugar, vanilla and salt in freezer container of ice cream maker. Freeze according to manufacturers directions. While mix is freezing, use electic beater to whip cream into stiff peaks. Store in refridgerator until freezer stops. Fold whipped cream into frozen mixture and leave in freezer for at least one hour to harden.
