Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick cooking oats, uncooked
Preparation
- In a heavy medium-size saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, and butter.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and then stir and boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Make sure the mixture is at a rolling boil before beginning to count the cooking time.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir in the peanut butter and oats, mixing well.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or silicone mat. We like to use a small ice cream scoop or cookie scoop to speed up the process and create more uniform cookies.
- Set aside until firm.
