Ingredients

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup peanut butter

3 cups quick cooking oats, uncooked

Preparation

  1. In a heavy medium-size saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, and butter.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and then stir and boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Make sure the mixture is at a rolling boil before beginning to count the cooking time.
  3. Remove from the heat.
  4. Stir in the peanut butter and oats, mixing well.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or silicone mat. We like to use a small ice cream scoop or cookie scoop to speed up the process and create more uniform cookies.
  6. Set aside until firm.
