cups Cheerios™ + Ancient Grains cereal

cup quick-cooking oats

1/2

cup dried cherries, chopped

1/4

cup cacao nibs

1/2

cup creamy almond butter

1/3

cup brown rice syrup or honey

tablespoons packed brown sugar

Preparation

Line bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with foil or cooking parchment paper. Spray foil with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix cereal, oats, dried cherries and cacao nibs; set aside.

In large microwavable bowl, microwave almond butter, brown rice syrup and brown sugar uncovered on High 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds, until mixture is bubbling on edges and slightly thickened.

Pour over cereal mixture in bowl; stir until evenly coated. Lightly spray hands with cooking spray; use hands to blend mixture. Use palm of hand and fingers to firmly press mixture evenly into pan, pressing down to compact mixture until firm. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until firm enough to cut.

For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows. Store covered in refrigerator up to 1 week.
