Ingredients
2 oz. finest quality bittersweet chocolate
½ cup water
1 freshly made espresso
1-2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
Unsweetened whipped cream
Preparation
Chop the chocolate and melt it with the water and sugar in the microwave or stovetop. Stir to combine ingredients. Add the espresso and whip with an immersion mixer or blender until frothy.
Or, put the chopped chocolate, water and espresso and optional sugar in a small pitcher and steam with the steaming wand of an espresso machine until hot and frothy. Stir to make sure that all the chocolate is melted.
Top with unsweetened whipped cream.
