Ingredients

brisket

20 garlic cloves

package of Lipton onion soup mix

2 T ginger

lots of onions

15 oz can tomato sauce

Preparation

Preheat to 400 Trim fat from brisket Pour 1/3 can tomato sauce on bottom of pan Season fat side first: 10 crushed garlic cloves, 1 T ginger, 1/2 package onion soup Put fat side down and season other side as above Pour remaining tomato sauce on top Cover with heavy aluminum foil and cook for 45 minutes. Then, turn brisket over (fat side up). Add 4-5 sliced onions Cover with foil (change foil frequently) .and cook at 350 for 2 1/2 more hours. You could add water or more sauce if needed.
