Ingredients
9 egg whites
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 t vinegar
1 1/2 t vanilla
Preparation
Preheat oven to 300°
Beat eggs into stiff peaks. Beat in sugar 2 tablespoons at a time, 5 times beating thoroughly each time..
Then add vanilla & vinegar then rest of sugar. Butter bottom and sides of pan; add 2/3 of mixture into pan. Make small ‘kisses’ dropped from a teaspoon with the rest of the mixture; formed in a circle on a tin the same size and shape as a spring form.
Bake 20 min @ 300° Reduce heat to 250° for 20 min Reduce heat to 225° for 45 min Turn off heat & leave in until cool (overnight)
Fill with whipped cream, berries and/or ice cream and decorate top with the circle of ‘kisses’
