Ingredients
1/4 ounce yeast
1 Cup warm water (80*F or as your yeast package recommends)
1 large egg, beaten
3 Tablespoons milk
1 Tablespoon white sugar
2 teaspoons salt
4 1/2 Cups bread flour
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Preparation
Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large glass bowl. Let stand 10 minutes or until cloudy.
Stir in egg and milk.
Stir in sugar and salt.
Stir in enough flour to make dough soft.
Knead on a floured surface.
Set aside in an oiled bowl covered with a damp cloth to rise for one hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down dough. Divide into 1" diameter balls.
Place balls on tray, cover with a towel, and let rise 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
Preheat a grill to high heat.
Roll balls into ovals.
Lightly oil grill.
Grill naan, 2-3 minutes per side, lightly brushing each side with butter.
