Ingredients

3/4 C butter (1.5 cubes)

2 ozs. unsweetened baking chocolate squares

1/2 C granulated sugar

1/2 C brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla or Kahlua

2 1/4 C flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

12 oz. chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Melt the butter with the unsweetened baking chocolate squares using a double boiler.

When melted, pour into a mixing bowl, and add the granulated sugar and the brown sugar.

Mix well; add the eggs and vanilla or Kahlua.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and mix well.

Pour batter into an ungreased 9 x 12 baking pan (I use a Pyrex pan).

Bake for 15 - 20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool in pan, and cut into bars.

Enjoy!
