Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar (raw, organic cane)
5 tablespoons softened butter (or shortening)
1/2 cup + 3 Tablespoons natural peanut butter (1 heaping 1/2 cup)
1 egg (or substitute)
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt (or not)
3 ounces chopped milk chocolate bar (Newman’s milk:-)
1.5 ounces chopped dark chocolate bar (Newman’s dark;-)
Preparation
Preheat oven 375 degrees.
Cream together sugar, butters, and egg. Stir in flour, soda, powder, and salt. Mix well. Chop up chocolate bars (cut in rows 1/4 inch thick, then turn cutting board and chop). Stir into batter. Use a teaspoon and drop small mounds (size of a quarter) onto baking stones. Bake 12 min (+ 2 for first batch:-) If for some reason you bake on anything other than stoneware, check at 10 minutes. Cook until slightly browned. Cool on rack and hide some for later….
