Ingredients
4 oz of unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup water
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Preparation
Heat oven to 350 2 9" layers or cupcakes Melt chocolate carefully in small pan over very low heat, stirring. Cool. In large bowl, combine sour cream shortening water, eggs, vanilla and blend well. lightly spoon flour in cup and level. combine flour sugar soda, baking powder and salt into liquid mixture to mix only. beat in melted chocolate and beat for 8 minutes pour into prepared pans - layers for 30 - 40 minutes; cupcakes for 17-20 minutes.
