Ingredients

mutton 1 kg

potatoes 1 kg'

onion 3 medium

garlic paste 1 tsp

ginger paste 1 tsp

tomatoes 3 medium

salt to taste

chili powder 1 1/2 tsp

turmeric powder 1 tsp

cumin 1tsp

black cardamom 2

cinnamon stick 1 inch

oil 3/4 cup

water 8 cups

Preparation

Chop onions, tomatoes, peel potatoes and cut them in half. heat oil add onions and fry till golden, add mutton, ginger and garlic paste, black cardamom, cumin and cinnamon. fry for 10 minutes, add 2 cups of water and cook until meat is tender.Don’t let it go too tender, it should its shape. then add salt, red chili and turmeric powder. mix well. now add tomatoes and stir for 2 minutes until soft and blended, add potatoes stir around another two minutes. add water (6 cups) and simmer for 30 minutes. Curry is ready when potatoes r cooked.
