Ingredients
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup minced onion
1/2 cup minced green pepper
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
pinch of salt and pepper
2 T minced garlic
1 28 oz can tomato sauce
2 cups ketchup
3/4 cups Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup cayenne pepper sauce
1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 T chili powder
2 tsp coarsely ground pepper
1/2 tsp ground allspice
Preparation
In a large saucepan over medium heat, add the oil. Add the onions, and peppers and give them a stir. Season with salt and pepper and cook until soft and golden. Add the garlic, and cook for 1 minute more. Add 1 dcup of water and all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes and let sauce cool. Pour into a container, cover and store until ready to use
